Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. She is best known for her role as Violet Plunkett from the CBS show 'Mom.' Calvano has a family in California, and initially was attracted to competitive gymnastics. Then, she made the decision to pursue a career in acting. Her screen debut came in 2010 on a segment of CBS series "NCIS". The big screen debut came a year later with the biographical film of crime drama 'J Edgar'. She is one of today's most promising actresses over the last few years. In 2011, she was awarded an award for a Young Artist Award nomination for the top Actress on a TV Series, in the role of Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013 she was nominated to win yet another Young Artist Award for her guest appearance in Disney XD's comedy series, 'Kickin' It'. Calvano was part of the cast of Mom during its initial three years and appeared at least a few times in the fourth. She won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star due to her performance in 'Mom.
